This Just In...Baron Votes in Favor of Tyranny
The results are in on the late night vote for the so called "health care" bill and it is no surprise. Baron Hill rode the fence as long as he could, but in the end bowed to pressure from Madame Pelosi and voted yes. After some goodies were added to sweeten the deal for those wavering on the vote, the total for the bill reached $1.4 trillion over ten years. John Yarmuth also voted yes. The final tally was 220 for and 215 against. Five votes, just five votes for a bill that Baron could have killed in committee. It is a sad day for this country and our descendants. If this blatant power grab passes the Senate, our government will control about 15% of our nation's economy. Please contact your senators without delay. Remind them of last Tuesday's elections and what the future holds for them if they continue this madness. One final comment... Run Mike, Run.

You know, when I se this kind of crap going down within our government (local, state OR federal), I just can't help but think of that scene from Star Wars - Episode III, where Senator Amidala states:
"SO this is how LIBERTY dies...with thunderous applause".

Tyranny, you nailed that one right on the head Daniel.
In fact, I am so inspred by your veiwpoint that I would like to personally invite you to the next new patient orientation at the clinics for you to speak on how un-needed health care reform is.
We generally have 30 to 40 new patients a week, from all walks of life, many of them a few paychecks ago were well to do, right winged, fundamentalist conservatives.
Their song and dance changes quickly when they realize there comrads in arms are not willing to pay for their medical care out of their pockets when they lost their jobs.
Please feel free to contact me via email to let me know when you will be available to come in and let these people know they are imagining things, that they are not really sick, and that all they ahve to do is get a "real job", I am sure they will feel much better.
As Roger would say, "look Ma, I caught one." You libs just don't get it. I am referring to our government forcing us to purchase something, in this case health care insurance. That is unconstitutional and tyrannical. The penalties for not complying...fines and imprisonment!
This congress is out of control and in twelve months will be out of work also.
Funny, I dont recall singing up to be a Lib, or a Democrat, or a conservative, or a republican.
I am an indy, plain and simple, and an indy who is sick and tired of developing relationships with hardworking clients who have no insurance, and not by choice, and I am tired of going to the funerals of these people to express my condolences to their families when they died of illnesses that could have been managed, prevented or cured.
But I take it by your response that you wont take me up on my offer to come in and explain to the new patients your take on this "tyranny"?
The balls in your court Daniel, do you want to back up what yyou say and bring your message to the people who stand the lose the most in this issue, or do you want to camp out with the other tea baggers and chide the uninsured / underinsured / uninsurable should just get real jobs?
I don't chide the uninsured. I chide a government that forces me to buy something I do not want. I have said repeatedly that the system is broke and if the government wants to extend insurance to the uninsured they can do it...for about $100 billion, not $1.2 trillion.
EVERYONE KNOWS WE NEED HEALTH CARE REFORM. THAT IS NOT THE ISSUE HERE. The issue is that this bill is not the answer. We need to fix the parts of the current system that are not working. We do not need to overhaul the whole system that we have now. Does anyone care about the tremendous costs involved in this new system? AMERICA CANNOT AFFORD IT!!! I'm tired of the attitude that people have of "We need reform right now, so lets just vote it in no matter what's in it. Let's just hurry up and do it." Yes, we need reform but there has to be a better way.
All of these points are well taken but we spire like these out of touch millionaires in congress. We fight as if we all are fascists, conservative or liberal as it maybe. The constitution was built by our founding fathers who with their differences, still conducted their work with a loyalist opposition mentality; differing with respect. This bill is dead on arrival in the senate; with some luck, Americanism will prevail when all said and done. We need comprehensive change: not facisiam,obamaisiam comunisiam. The U.S., we are the great. Why follow France, Candida, Britain? Can we build a superior product in the U.S.?
